I really really liked the story line. I love romance and science fiction so this one is for me. I really like the main character, Elle, because unlike a LOT of books recently, she is not a wimpy little plaything.
Loved book one in this series, I'm hooked. So beautifully written, over the top steamy sexiness with no graphic sex.. how does that happen? With a writer who can take the words and craft them into a beautiful experience that makes you want it for your own. I wanted Pierce to own me, fill me with his scent. Make me his. I can not wait for book 2. Bravo... 5 stars and more!
Wow! This book really explores the relationship between lust and fear! Elle is a girl who has been betrayed by the man she loved, and then, after getting lost in the woods, her luck gets even worse when she is kidnapped and imprisoned by the otherworldly and terrifying Pierce (and his even scarier brothers). Throughout the book, Pierce walks the line between human and monster, and the relationship that develops between Elle and Pierce is both twisted and erotic. Written in a direct, unembellished style, this book reads quickly, combining a fast-paced sci-fi plot with an erotically charged relationship between two characters from very different worlds. It's a wild ride!
I don't normally leave reviews, but this one I had to, not only because this is a new writer without a lot of reviews and I wanted to share this great read with others, but because I really liked the story line. I picked it up for a vacation read..and couldn't put it down! I love science fiction, romance (and a little erotica to spice things up ) )so this was the perfect blend!
I won't give any spoilers but I really like the lead character Elle, because unlike a LOT of books recently, she is not a wimpy little plaything. Not sure why that is such a common thread recently (shades of 50 shades?) but personally I am bored of willing, submissive females. I guess I just don't know any so seems very unreal to me.
All I can say is that I hope this writer is a fast typist, as I NEED to know what happened next.
So it was a 5 star for me, a quick read, fast paced, original plot,and I am waiting with NO patience for the next 3 books!!!
